My son works on the North Slope and his commute from the east coast sometimes means he overnights at the airport, with his longest trip taking 42 hours. I purchased the Ultralight Sleep Pad Pro because of its weight, features, and positive reviews. He was delighted with the gift and I expect will put it to good use. As a side note, purchasing from Jacob’s Well Outfitters was a positive experience. The next time I need outdoor gear, I will check with them first.

I have to admit, when I got this in the mail, I was entirely suspect that it was as warm as the R 4.2 rating says it was. I even brought an emergency blanket to use on top just in case, but not needed! Was very warm and comfortable.
Especially love the attached pillow - main reason I bought it. Side note: my friend who slept in a tent next to me said she thought it was loud. I didn’t think it was any louder than my other pads and it didn’t bother me personally but I tend to shift a lot before I settle in at night too. I would suggest if you are a light sleeper or are sleeping next to a light sleeper, keep your tents further away or maybe it’s not for you. For me, it wasn’t too loud but that was my friend’s feedback from the other side of my tent.

Actually rest comfortable for a sleeping pad! If you are a pillow person, this pad has one of the better pillows I’ve tried on a lightweight sleeping pad. I’d highly recommend.

I bought this sleep pad originally to use when camping, and I also do a lot of hiking and kayaking so I was looking for something compact and easy to pack and carry. This sleep pad fills the bill! It arrived neatly and tightly rolled up, nicely compressed into a small drawstring bag, very lightweight and compact— takes up no room at all in a backpack! It’s made of a durable nylon material, and unrolled smoothly. Even though it’s a nice big size, it inflated very quickly and easily. I was really surprised how comfy the pad was to lay on once inflated, and I also really loved the support the pillow gave! Mine didn’t make it to camping season though before getting maximum use— it’s quickly become the newest sensation in my house for my grandkids when they come for sleepovers! They love the camo design and drifting off to sleep on the cozy, cushy pad in front of a movie! I noticed it doesn’t lose any air overnight, even with two kids sleeping on it at the same time—and the kids playing, sleeping, even wrestling on it proves it’s great durability! I love this pad so much I plan on getting a few more by camping season!
