I have had the opportunity to set this up in my backyard, but not out in the field yet. I will say I am very pleased with this product, and in fact have recommended it to my son.
I really like all the guying points available, as well as the two options of stakes, though I will say I will use the lightweight ones and not the traditional, commonly used ones. I used my trekking poles for tent poles, and that worked well. I am glad there are no grommets; they would be totally unnecessary. I did not use the black plastic attachments, but I may try and use those for the ridgeline next time. Good cordage used here, which is greatly appreciated.
This tarp is primarily going to be used for weather protection on mountain summits when I use an amateur radio up there. I am going to be using it on an upcoming backpacking trip, and I am anxious to see how that works out.

I used the tarp when camping and it was perfect. Nice thick quality materials and kept me dry. Also warm even with the flaps up.

I love the tarp, I used it when it got down to 20 degrees and in the wind. I had no troubles at all. It did more than just keep the wind away and it actually kept some body heat in.

I tried the tarp out with my north face stormbreak tent. I decided to leave the tent fly at home and instead used the tarp. It worked great. I kept all the morning due off of the tent and prevented condensation from forming inside. Also, it provided a much larger vegetable area for the tent. So, I stored all of my other belongings under the tarp. That worked out really well because it rained the second day.

I haven't had a chance to use this yet because of the season and the weather. But, I did check it out and the construction appears bombproof. I learned how to make a poncho hooch in the army and I was going to buy a poncho for that purpose, but a decent poncho cost as much or more than the Ultralight camping tarp, and the Jacob's Well product is more versatile and of better construction.
